Salvia 40x – Your guide to buying salvia

Salvia Divinorum is a psychoactive plant traditionally used by Mazatec Shamans who used the plant during religious rituals to induce visionary states of consciousness.  Salvia has been getting really popular in modern society over the last decade and many people are curious to know more about this plant and what it’s like.

Salvia is a dissociative experience and it’s definitely not for everybody.  Although it’s still legal in most states, I must say that it is the most intense psychedelic experience I’ve ever had.  Way more memorable than any of the illegal stuff in my opinion.  You really have to try it to understand, but if you want to get an idea of what it’s like, just check out the videos on YouTube.

If you’re new to salvia, start with a low strength like salvia 10x or salvia 20x.  Considering it really hasn’t been found to be very dangerous, I would suggest anyone who is interested in altered states of consciousness and out-of-body experiences at least try it once.  Now, I can’t guarantee you will thoroughly enjoy the experience (although some do) but I can safely say you won’t forget it anytime soon.  If you’re like me you will at least appreciate the experience for what it is even if you don’t decide to do it on a regular basis.

There are some people out there who not only really enjoy smoking salvia extract but are constantly trying to reach a higher level of psychedelic experience than before.  If you are one of these people, I’d suggest checking out Salvia Monster as they sell strengths such as salvia 80x and even salvia 100x.

You can buy salvia extract on-line or sometimes you can find it off-line at your local head shop.  I would suggest online because from my experience its better quality and you get a better deal.  I’ve listed the most respected sites below.  But salvia is quickly becoming illegal and it’s already been banned in:

States: Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota (goes into effect August 1, 2010), Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Virginia.

Countries: Australia, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, South Korea and Sweden.

The price of salvia can vary greatly across the Internet.  In my experience you’re better to go with one of the sites below unless you have experience with another site or know someone who has.  There are different extraction methods and if you find salvia for super cheap, it’s probably because it’s a low quality plant and they used a cheap extraction process.  In general, you always want to buy salvia that has a “standardized” extraction process.  Otherwise you can never be sure exactly what the strength will really be and you will be smoking harmful by-products.
